Welcome Back, Wildcats!

Hello, Wildcat Students, Families, and Staff!

We hope your summer has been filled with fun, relaxation, and time with family and friends. As we reflect on the 2025-2026 school year, we continue to be proud of everything our Wildcats accomplished. From academic achievements and athletic success to performances, clubs, service projects, and celebrations, our students represented Greeley Central with Pride, Class, and Dignity. Thank you for helping make it such a memorable year!

This school year is especially exciting as we begin kicking off our 100 Years at the Castle celebration. The year 2027 marks Greeley Central High School's centennial, and throughout the school year we will begin celebrating the rich traditions, remarkable alumni, and generations of Wildcats who have made our school such a special place. We look forward to sharing many opportunities for students, families, alumni, staff, and our community to be involved as we count down to this historic milestone. As we begin preparing for another great school year, we wanted to share a few important reminders. We'll continue sending brief updates throughout the summer to help everyone get ready for the first day of school.

Fall Registration

Registration for currently enrolled students will be held:

Wednesday, July 29

• 8:00–11:00 a.m. | 11th Grade
• 12:00–3:00 p.m. | 12th Grade

Thursday, July 30

• 8:00–11:00 a.m. | 9th Grade
• 12:00–3:00 p.m. | 10th Grade

Families with students in multiple grade levels are welcome to attend whichever registration session is most convenient for your family.

Registration is a great opportunity for students to:

• Receive and review their class schedule
• Ask questions about courses
• Pick up their student ID
• Purchase activity passes and Wildcat gear
• Connect with clubs, athletics, and activities
• Complete any remaining back-to-school items

First Days of School 

The first week of school is just around the corner! Please note these important dates:

• Friday, August 7: First day of school for 9th grade students only. This special day allows our newest Wildcats to get comfortable with the building, meet their teachers, and begin building connections before the rest of the student body arrives.
• Monday, August 10: All students (grades 9–12) attend school. School begins with our normal late start Monday schedule. Classes begin at 9:10am.
• Tuesday, August 11: Our annual Welcome Back Assembly will take place at 2:00 p.m. Students will come together to celebrate the start of another great year, connect with classmates, and kick off the 2026–2027 school year as one Wildcat family. Today we will use our Welcome Back Assembly schedule, which has blocks 0, 2, 4, 6 and our Assembly.
• Wednesday, August 12: Today we will use our Wednesday/Friday bell schedule, which has blocks 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7.
• Thursday, August 13: Today we will use our Tuesday/Thursday bell schedule, which has blocks 0, 2, 4, 6 and Seminar. Throughout the day, we will be pulling students into the Library for school photos. Students will be called in by grade-level.
• Friday, August 14: Today we will use our Wednesday/Friday bell schedule, which has blocks 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7.

Lunch Information

Our district continues to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students each school day.

Lunch expectations for the start of the school year are:

• 9th Grade: Students remain on campus for lunch.
• 10th Grade: New this year! Students will remain on campus during lunch at the beginning of the school year. 
  • At the end of first quarter (October), 10th grade students who are passing all classes, and maintaining at least 85% attendance will become eligible for off-campus lunch during the second quarter. 
  • Eligibility will be reviewed each quarter, and students and families will be notified before any changes take effect.
• 11th & 12th Grade: Students are eligible for off-campus lunch beginning on the first day of school. Parents and guardians are able to opt their students out of off-campus lunch allowance at back to school registration.  

Back-to-School Shopping

School Supplies

Every Greeley Central student receives school supplies through our school allocation, including:

• Spiral notebooks for core classes
• Pocket folders for core classes
• Student Planner
• Chromebook and charger

Please help your student develop the habit of arriving each day with a fully charged Chromebook. Each classroom is also stocked with pencils, pens, highlighters, and sticky notes for students who may need them.

Students may also find it helpful to keep the following items in their backpack:

• #2 pencils
• Blue or black pens
• Highlighters
• Colored pencils
• Whiteboard markers
• Scientific calculator
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Sticky Notes
• Scotch tape

Clothing & Dress Code

As families prepare for back-to-school shopping, we ask everyone to keep our district dress code in mind.

Students should wear clothing that:

• Fully covers undergarments.
• Includes sleeves or shoulder straps.
• Covers the entire torso.
• Is free from inappropriate language or images, including references to drugs, alcohol, or weapons.

Students should also:

• Avoid wearing solid red or solid blue outfits or multiple red or blue items together.
  • Clothing cannot exceed 50% red or blue.
• Leave hats and other head coverings at home unless approved for religious or medical reasons.

Students out of dress code will be asked to correct the issue before attending class. Additional information can be found in the District 6 Student Handbook. Cell Phones & Headphones

To support learning and reduce distractions, District 6 policy requires that cell phones and headphones remain put away during instructional time unless a teacher specifically authorizes their use for a classroom activity. Thank you for helping us create classrooms where students can stay engaged, connected, and focused on learning.
