D6 Athlete of the Week: Luke Mathews, Greeley Central High School

D6 Athlete of the Week: Luke Mathews, Greeley Central High School

"Luke's dedication and hard work both on and off the course make him a great example of what it means to be a student-athlete. As captain of the golf team, Luke commands a unique combination of skill, focus, patience, maturity, and mental toughness to excel at a tremendously frustrating sport. Luke demonstrates the ability to stay composed, overcome adversity, and make good decisions under pressure. More importantly, he understands that being captain is about supporting and encouraging his teammates. Luke's commitment to his team, his willingness to help others, and the example he sets for his teammates make him extremely deserving of this recognition." - Tyler McNeece, Coach
