"I am most proud of receiving CHSAA All-State Academic honors. This achievement shows my passion, not only for baseball, but also in the classroom."

What are your goals for this season?

"My main goal for this season is to get better every game. It's a long season, and I hope to improve each practice and game to give my team the best chance I can to win."

Who are your role models in your sport or life, and how have they influenced you?

"My role model in baseball has always been Brandon Crawford. I grew up watching him play shortstop for the Giants, and I always tried to model my game after him as a kid and still to this day."

How do you manage the balance between academics and athletics? What strategies have been most effective for you?

"Balancing academics and athletics isn't always easy, but it's doable. Learning to separate the two things, focusing on baseball when it's games and practices or focusing on school in the classroom, has allowed me to be more effective in both aspects, and allows me to use my time efficiently."

How do you handle pressure and maintain mental resilience during high-stakes competition?

"Slowing everything down has always worked for me. Taking deep breaths and reminding myself of all the preparation I put in to be ready for the moment always allows me to relax and become confident."

What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?

"I will be attending University of Colorado Boulder to study Chemical Engineering."

What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?

"My two biggest pieces of advice are to work hard and not dwell on mistakes. Baseball is a game of failure, so if you focus on every time you fail, you'll never be able to learn and improve."

Do you have any funny pre-game rituals or superstitions that you stick to?

"I've never really believed in superstitions or anything like that. To me, every game is a new game, so things are always changing in my routine."

If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?

"I would have to say cooking. I love cooking, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it too. Some outside opinions can probably help me gauge my skill a little better."
